This tree stump in a bluebell wood on Saint Martha's Hill Guildford had probably had its roots loosened by soil & traffic erosion of the bridleway, and then felled by strong storm winds several years ago.
The pretty bluebells contrast dramatically with the green moss, the intimidating shape of its exposed roots and the natural misty wood environment in the distance.
