Treeshine
In England we are used to the weather forecast being wrong. Here I was waiting all morning for the early morning mist to clear to take landscape views.
While I was waiting (it turned out in vain) I found this very curved rotting fallen tree trunk looking so shiny as if it had been steamed, bent to shape, and hand french-polished.
Laying at the top of Saint Martha's Hill in a pine forest. Nature can be so surprising.
